The Parish Council have already identified a number of areas where speeding is considered to be a particular problem :

• Knockholt Road
• Watercroft Road
• Station Road
• Old London Road.

Knockholt Parish Council have already purchased a state-of-the-art Speed Identification Device (SID) with the aid of the County Council member’s grant. We have come to an agreement with KPC to use their SID on those occasions when they are not using it. There are many other examples throughout Kent of parish councils sharing this sort of expensive equipment.

Once the final details of the agreement have been hammered out, we will go through a training course and be ready to check out traffic within our parish.

 

PCSO Nick Barker has offered to work with the team so this means that Speed Watch can operate on any day of the week and at any time depending on his shift pattern.
Times will be arranged to fit in with volunteers.

We already have a small number of volunteers to help us, but more volunteers are needed. Please contact the Clerk if you are interested.
