The Amenities & Highways Committee is responsible for the assets of the village. Halstead Parish Council owns two properties:

  • The Parish Room in Church Road, and
  • The Sport Pavilion on the Recreation Ground in Station Road.

PavilionThe Recreation Ground and Village Green in Church Road are also owned by the parish. The two bus shelters in Station Road and Old London Road, the Village Millennium Sign and the finger-posts at the crossroads are the responsibility of the Parish Council as is the children's playground.

Parish RoomThree sports clubs use the Pavilion and the Recreation Ground, Halstead Cricket Club, Halstead Football Club and Halstead Netball Club and hold licenses for this. All the clubs are very successful.

The Pavilion is available for hire during the day and evenings. The Parish Room is also available for hire.

Halstead Village were presented with a tree which followed success in the Kent Men of Trees Competition 2009. It is an Acer Crimson King and has been planted on the Village Green in Church Road. Although it was not planted at the ideal time to encourage strong growth, it appears to be prospering.
